ZBS was founded in 2017 by a team of healthcare professionals as a below the line marketing agency before advancing to through the line marketing with focus on the healthcare industry. It further evolved to provide health solutions through health systems strengthening strategies, quality improvement and innovation as ZBS Ltd.

Health services require quality as a foundation. For this reason, the Quality Healthcare Kenyan awards (QHKA) seeks to honour excellence and innovation in the health sector for quality patient-centered care.
The first of its kind in Kenya, QHKA has taken on the mantle and seeks to change the narrative and showcase impact of the positive contributions on the Kenyan health sector for scalability and sustainability.
The initiative takes a health systems strengthening approach to improve standards of health service delivery among health professionals by recognising outstanding performance, fostering innovation and the use of information technology, sharing of best practice, uniting the public and private sectors towards a common goal and creating a platform for collaboration. The patient voice is an online platform which aims at getting feedback from the healthcare users on their experience with the health system and make sure their voices are heard by the providers and decision makers, to inform decision making, encourage policy change and promote continuous improvement for better health outcomes. The platform also seeks to find out the patients’ needs, preferences and expectations from the health system to influence the
design and delivery of health services.
The Patient Voice platform will give Kenyans an opportunity to engage with the health system and drive quality of care creating an environment that demands and promotes equal access to quality people-centred care. This will empower citizens to be co-producers of health and strengthen their partnership with healthcare providers as they push for continuous quality improvement and accountability for better and sustained health outcomes. Citizens will get an
opportunity to make their voices heard, by demanding that which is their right – the highest attainable standards of healthcare.
The platform will also provide information to the public to ensure health literacy and empower healthcare users to make informed decisions about their health status. The Patient Voice will facilitate communication which will not only improve the quality and safety of care but also the experience of the healthcare users and the satisfaction of the healthcare providers.
